A 37-year-old caregiver has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm following an incident at a nursing home in Bad Vilbel, located in the Wetteraukreis district. The arrest comes after two 84-year-old female residents required emergency medical treatment on the evening of September 19, 2025, allegedly due to unauthorized medication administered by the caregiver.

According to the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect is accused of administering "non-indicated medication" to the two senior residents, which placed both women in life-threatening condition. The patients were subsequently transported to hospitals where they received emergency medical care. The caregiver was arrested at his residence in the Wetteraukreis district on September 20, 2025.

The suspect was brought before an investigative judge at the Frankfurt District Court on September 21, 2025, where a detention order was issued following a request from the public prosecutor's office.
